A new group for dads and male carers
Get out, have a laugh and meet other dads and male carers who understand family life with SEND.
Nothing formal
Aim Higher and Hull Parent Carer Forum are joining together to launch a new group for dads and male carers of children and young people with SEND.
We are kicking things off with go-karting. There will be no sitting around a table and no pressure to talk about SEND, just an opportunity to have fun and meet people who understand.
Highly Subsidised Tickets!
Thanks to generous funding from The National Lottery Community Fund, HPCF has been able to significantly subsidise the cost of these tickets. You get the full track experience for just £10 (normally £31.50)
Places are limited so please make sure you secure your place quickly
Please read carefully - Booking is essential for this event. The venue has strict safety rules and will turn drivers away if these are not met.
Meeting Point: Liam, an Aim Higher trustee, will be waiting to welcome everyone just inside the venue on arrival. Don't worry if you're coming along on your own or don't know anyone!
7:15 PM – Arrival: Please arrive promptly so we can get everyone signed in and kitted up. Late arrivals may not be allowed to race.
7:35 PM – Safety Briefing: Mandatory for all drivers.
8:15 PM – Track Time: The first of three racing sessions begins!
9:45 PM – Estimated Finish: Racing concludes at 9:30 PM, giving us 15 minutes to get out of our gear and wrap up.
Get ready for non-stop action! Each driver will race in three 15-minute sessions on the track (with 15-minute rest breaks in between). The goal is simple: complete as many laps as possible and set the fastest lap time. This is an open session, so you may be racing alongside other adult groups, giving you the chance to compare lap times with the competition!
What’s Included:
Non-exclusive use of the track
Delivered jointly by Aim Higher and Hull Parent Carer Forum (HPCF). Funded by The National Lottery Community Fund.
What to expect
This is about meeting people naturally through a shared activity, without any pressure to explain yourself or share personal experiences.
Coming on your own?
Liam, a Trustee from Aim Higher, will welcome everyone, introduce you to the group and join in with the session. You will not be left to walk in alone or work out what to do by yourself.
