Being a small Community Interest Company (CIC) we rely on funding grants and donations to keep being able to reach parent carers in Hull to gather lived experience of the services across education, health and social care to allow us to highlight good practices, challenge weaknesses and hold to account the strategic decision-makers to improve access to and experiences of the services that children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities use in Hull.

Sign-Up

One of the easiest ways to support us at no cost to you is by signing up via easyfundraising to donate to us when you do your shopping online. Every time you shop online at your favourite retailer through easyfundraising the retailer will donate some money to us. They even have a handy add-on for your laptop, phone or tablet to ensure you can link a donation directly from the website you are shopping on.

If you prefer to make a cash donation then please use the button above. We use our funding to run engagement events which allow parent carers to come together and offer peer-to-peer support and friendship. This is important for our members as caring for a child or young person with SEND whilst rewarding can also be incredibly isolating at times, and our families often face unique challenges in getting a diagnosis, support or guidance.

In addition to the engagement events, we run funded workshops and webinars to help our parents understand more about their children's SEND and equip themselves with new skills with which to better support them.

Through all our events we collect feedback from the members who access them about their family's experiences of accessing SEND services in Education, Health and Social Care in Hull,which we then feedback to shape improvements.

We held our first forum raffle to raise funds in 2023 which was a great success, raising £556!

We were very lucky to have donations from small and larger businesses, as well as some individuals who purchased or donated unused items they had been gifted.

We plan to hold more raffles this year so if you, or anyone you know would like to donate as an individual or on behalf of a business please contact us through the button above.
