Our Purpose
To create a better future for every SEND family in Hull by making sure their voices shape the services they rely on.
We believe all children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) deserve access to the right support, at the right time, from services that truly understand their needs. No one should be left to navigate complex systems alone.
Who We Are
Hull Parent Carer Forum is an independent, parent-led Community Interest Company supporting families of children and young people with SEND aged 0-25 who live in Hull, or have a Hull GP.
All of our staff and volunteers are parent carers of children and young people with SEND. This lived experience drives everything we do.
Our Mission
We connect, empower, and amplify the voice of SEND families.
We gather feedback through regular engagement sessions, such as breakfast and lunch clubs, coffee and chat sessions and themed events. We provide information, sign-posting, peer support and opportunities for parent carers to share their experiences of SEND services. We use this insight to represent the wider voice of SEND families, working with education, health and social care partners to ensure lived experience informs service development and helps influence the decisions that affect local families.

TIC Friendly Environment
Recently we had the team from TIC, Hull, Lincolnshire & Yorkshire attend our Coffee & Chat session to deliver a workshop on tourettes and ADHD for both staff and members. As a result we are delighted to announce we are now a TIC Friendly Environment.
Mental Health First Aiders
Our team is dedicated to supporting mental well-being. We are proud to share that all staff members have completed Mental Health First Aid training, equipping them with the skills to offer initial support and guidance during times of mental health challenges. Your well-being is important to us.
